Advertising Club of New Orleans Recognizes Robert Berning, Lauren Alsop during ADDY Award Ceremony

(METAIRIE, La.) – Robert Berning, president and founder of Berning Marketing LLC, was recently recognized as the silver medal recipient for his lifetime contributions to the New Orleans advertising community. This honor is given to only one member of the advertising community each year.

Established in 1959, the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award Program recognizes men and women who have made significant strides in advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

“Robert Berning embodies all the characteristics of the Silver Medal Awards recipient,” says Eddie Brown, Berning Marketing public relations director.

“Robert provides an excellent example for his staff through his daily management-style with client relations at the forefront of all he does. He’s maintained a lasting reputation in the industry by delivering and executing high-quality work and no matter the task, mandates the same level of performance from everyone within our company. Working with someone with this type of knowledge and experience is invaluable.”

Lauren Alsop, the company’s creative director, was also recognized with the award for creative director of the year. Alsop has served as the creative director at Berning Marketing since joining the company in 2008. In her role, she is responsible for developing creative campaigns that align with client’s overall goals.

“Lauren takes a project and looks at all the potential ways to execute the concept and not just the standard or traditional avenues that people would normally take. She is bold and forward thinking,” says Kristin Bond, director of new business development.
