Robert Berning

President

Robert Berning Robert started in the production business in 1973, working for Trahan Productions. In 1975, he founded Robert Berning Productions, Inc. and in the past 34 years has produced award-winning broadcast campaigns, corporate image videos, documentaries and a wide variety of production services, all while running a very successful business. Robert has won scores of national awards for his work over the years, including Cinema Photographer of the Year, Director of the Year and a National Addy Award for advocating child abuse prevention. He was also named as an economic ambassador by the Governor of Louisiana. He proudly expanded with the support of his children, creating Berning Marketing, LLC, one of the only full-service marketing and commercial production agencies in the Gulf South region.

After serving in the armed forces, Robert worked with the Catholic Relief Services for three years in Korea. He then returned to the States and completed the film curriculum for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at Loyola University.

Along with being accountable for all business related to the company, Robert's daily responsibilities include senior level account service, new business development and film directing.

Erin Berning

Executive Director of Marketing

Erin Berning After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans in 1999, Erin joined one of the largest media firms in the Gulf South as an Account Executive. Nearly 10 years later, she serves as Executive Director of Marketing for Berning Marketing.

Erin subscribes to the thought that a communications agency is obligated to providing clients sound, professional advice, even at the expense of financial gain. This professional mantra led to Erin being awarded the 2009 "Top Executive of the Year" by the Advertising Club of New Orleans.

In addition to overseeing the Berning Marketing staff, Erin serves as a senior account executive. In her role, she has successfully developed and implemented strategic marketing and advertising plans in multiple mediums for clients who represent restaurant, corporate, economic development, automotive, retail, gaming, non-profit and professional sports industries.

Erin is also committed to supporting the community through the marketing profession. She serves as a third-year mentor to students studying business and marketing at Loyola University New Orleans and was recognized by the New Orleans Executive Leadership of the American Cancer Society for her work in facilitating sponsorship and business support.

Trey Berning

Executive Director of Production

Trey Berning After studying at the University of Miami, Trey transferred to the University of New Orleans where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Motion Picture Production. He has been a member of the Berning team for 16 years. His responsibilities on the set have evolved from Production Assistant, Grip and Electric, 2nd Assistant Cameraman, Assistant Cameraman to Director of Photography and Director. In addition to directing films and commercials, Trey manages the entire production and post-production staff and facilities. Recently in 2008 Trey was awarded Director/ Producer of the year by the AD Club of New Orleans.

Ed Metz

Vice President of Technical Services

Ed Metz As a producer, director and project lead on numerous award-winning film/video and print projects, Ed has spent more than 20 years working with Fortune 500 clients including Northrop Grumman, Kerr-McGee, Dominion Resources, Chevron, Shell and other large corporations.

Ed specialties include producing high-end corporate communications productions for public and investor relations, corporate image, trade shows and human resources and is works effortlessly with clients to achieve the highest quality. Most notable, Ed was responsible for creating a proprietary web-based management system for Berning's core business processes, resulting in hundreds of hours yearly in increased productivity.

An accomplished director of photography, cameraman, and still photographer, Ed is also versatile in post-production and script supervision, digital asset management, database systems, and website design and hosting.

A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Ed has received numerous awards including Hugo, Telly, Summit and Addy awards and the 2006 recipient of Northrop Grumman World Class Supplier Award, to name a few.

Kristin Bond

Director of New Business Development

Kristin Bond Kristin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in advertising and a minor in marketing from Western Kentucky University. At Berning Marketing, her role will include executing the companys allocation of new business and strategic partnerships.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Kristin comes to Berning Marketing with a vast array of life and work experiences, which includes working on national brand accounts such as TJ Maxx, and Nestle, developing brand identities for a leading real estate company in Kentucky, and launching an online subscriber-based community for Southern Gaming & Destination Magazine. Her background also includes working as an account executive and a creative designer for a publication based in Kentucky.

During her studies, Kristin spent time working in Ghana where she developed marketing proposals for the Ghanaian Tourism Department and the United Methodist College Ghana.

Prior to joining the Berning Marketing team, Kristin served as the Business Development Coordinator for Mullen Advertising based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Lauren Alsop

Creative Director / Account Executive

Lauren Alsop Lauren studied Mass Communications with a concentration in Advertising at Loyola University New Orleans. Her experience includes account service, graphic design, creative strategy development, media buying and public relations.

Lauren has served as brand manager for local and national clients, both on consumer and business-to-business accounts and also leads the company's creative efforts for clients ranging from restaurant/retail to banking, real estate and healthcare. In her role as account executive, Lauren is responsible for every aspect of the communication process between the client and the Berning Marketing team. Lauren is instrumental in ensuring each client not only has a positive experience, but that stated goals and objectives are fulfilled in a timely manner.

Prior to joining Berning, Lauren managed campaigns for Aveda Corporation's national network of cosmetology schools. She is a member of the Young Leadership Council, Women's Leadership Council of United Way and works with elementary students as a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans.

Bonnie Roberts

Media Director

Bonnie Roberts For more than 15 years, Bonnie Roberts' diverse advertising experience has spelled success for hundreds of clients locally, regionally and nationally. As Media Director, she is responsible for overseeing planning, buying, implementation, tracking and reporting of media campaigns for clients.

Experienced in all phases of media buying, with emphasis on the not-for-profit sector, Bonnie is a strong proponent of the media planning process through developing a partnership-mentality with clients to determine the most effective strategy.

Prior to joining the Berning Marketing team, Bonnie was Internet Sales Director for Clear Channel. Her professional background also includes freelance media buying for agencies without interactive media planner/buyers, web and search marketing services for Louisiana Economic Development and the Louisiana Office of Tourism, traditional and non-traditional advertising for Ruth's Chris in Charlotte, North Carolina and MECO, an International water purification company.

Bonnie has also achieved successful media results for the Louisiana Procurement Agency (LOPA), Partners for Healthy Babies, the American Lung Association, and has worked for The Mature Market Group, a division of J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, and has served as an independent contractor for other notable media firms.

Bonnie studied marketing at the University of West Florida and Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon.

Eddie Brown

Public Relations Director

Eddie Brown Eddie received a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in International marketing from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

Eddie draws on his diverse public relations background to council clients in effectively communicating key messages to the public and stakeholders through the media. Eddie has proven success in media relations, executing non-profit and corporate communications campaigns and developing effective public relations strategies for budget-challenged clients. He does not consider public relations his profession but as one of his talents.

A native of Mississippi, Eddie's background includes community/healthcare, manufacturing, economic development, and higher education sectors. Prior to joining Berning Marketing, he was on the public relations staff at the nation's first medical mall; developed, communicated and enforced company policies as the human resources and internal communications coordinator for an automotive manufacturer and Nissan supplier; and served as public relations staff member at Jackson State University.

In addition to hosting and co-hosting local radio shows in Jackson, Eddie has also worked in non-profit and religious organizations such as the Metroplex Economic Development Corporation and T.D. Jakes Enterprises in Dallas, Texas, and served as Public Relations Coordinator for the South Central Diocese (Mississippi) of the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A.

Danielle Lewis

Design Manager

Danielle Lewis Equipped with a Bachelor's of Management in Business from Tulane University in 2005, Danielle is currently pursuing a second Bachelor's degree in Digital Design. Danielle is responsible for managing production, traffic and workflow for Berning Marketing's design department.

A Kansas City native, Danielle brings management experience from Abercrombie & Fitch and agency experience as a production coordinator. She has facilitated projects for Louisiana Economic Development, Voodoo Music Experience and the New Orleans Conventions and Visitor's Bureau.

Rencher Lann

Senior Graphic Designer

Rencher Lann Rencher graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and Computer Animation at Mississippi State University. Rencher began his career as a staff artist and photographer for Emmerich Newspapers Inc. in 2003, where he gained a wide range of experience in newspaper layout, printing presses, advertising design and graphic art production. He has also serviced his freelance clients' needs through account management and design services including print, web and illustration. Rencher joined Berning Marketing in 2006.

Uyen Vu

Graphic Designer

Uyen Vu Uyen attended Louisiana State University and received her bachelor's degree in studio art/graphic communications from the University of Houston.

In her role as graphic designer, Uyen is responsible for the company's interactive and print projects. Before joining Berning, the Harvey, LA native was a graphic designer at a marketing company in Houston.

Jeff Couret

Webmaster

Jeff Couret After receiving an associate's degree in computer information technology from Delgado College and a bachelor's degree in Web site development from Tulane University, Jeff went to work for a full-serviced internet design and marketing firm in New Orleans. During his tenure, Jeff was responsible for the firm's Web site development which included programming, e-commerce and content management systems.

At Berning Marketing, the New Orleans native is responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge Web sites for the company and its clients.

Rachael Casey

Marketing Assistant

Rachael Casey Rachael is a native of New Orleans and is responsible for providing account and research assistance to the marketing, media and public relations departments at Berning Marketing. Rachael's background includes design, Web site maintenance and leading advertising and marketing initiatives for a local real estate company. She received a Bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing communications from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.

Alexis Vicknair

Broadcast Producer

Alexis Vicknair Alexis attended Boston University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Film Production and a concentration in Hispanic language and literature. She returned to her hometown of New Orleans and began working in the film industry. Alexis held many freelance film positions including Production Assistant, Casting Coordinator, Art Department Coordinator. Production Coordinator and worked as a talent agent for several years. She oversees all aspects of production and makes sure her team always comes in on or under budget.

Chris Worthington

Production Editor

Chris Worthington As a Post-Production Editor, Chris is responsible for all video and effects for television and radio spots. Before joining Berning, Chris edited long-form television documentaries for E! Entertainment and Greystone Television.

After graduating from the University of New Orleans with a liberal arts degree in communications, Chris began work on feature-film JFK, directed by Oliver Stone. He then relocated to Los Angeles where he learned advanced editing skills through a state-run training program. After 15 years in sunny L.A., the New Orleans-native decided it was time to return home.

Miguel Gomez

Production Editor

A native of New Orleans, Miguel studied graphic design at Remington College in Metairie. As Director/Editor for the Berning team, he is responsible for directing and editing TV commercials in addition to short- and long format TV/Film documentaries.

Miguel's background includes design and layout for what is currently the Jambalya News magazine, graphic designer for a design company in Metairie, and producer/editor for the television department at Jesse Duplantis Ministries in Destrehan, La.

Kaley Wilkins

Production Coordinator

Kaley Wilkins A native of Destrehan, La., Kaley attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. where she earned a bachelors of arts degree in broadcast journalism. After returning home, she worked as production intern for NBC-affiliate WDSU in New Orleans then joined Berning as a production coordinator. As production coordinator, Kaley makes sure everyone is on task, on schedule, and on time. Her responsibilities also include assisting post-production editors, directors, and producers, casting, updating and maintaining the company's extensive media asset library, and researching stock footage, sound effects, and licensed music.
